This introductory course will provide an updated BDA Practice Supervision Guideline overview. It will highlight the importance of incorporating supervision within your practice to enhance capability and support wellbeing.
This course is suitable for anyone from the dietetic workforce who has supervision responsibilities or those considering taking this on. It is also suitable for those receiving supervision who want to ensure they are making the most of their sessions.
This includes support workers and registered dietitians at all career stages in all settings and from all specialisms.
Aim
This one-day course aims to introduce the BDA practice supervision guideline, understand the theory and relevance of supervision and demonstrate its use in practice.

3. Explore personal experiences of supervision in practice.
4. Have an awareness of theories and models relating to supervision.
5. Demonstrate an improved understanding of how supervision can develop practice.
6. Be able to evidence how you have changed your supervision through a completed action plan relevant to your area of practice (post-course reflection).
