Aim:
To provide dietitians with the core knowledge and skills required to undertake Dietetic assessment and intervention for people with eating disorders
Learning Outcomes:
To develop a working knowledge of the role of the Dietitian within the eating disorders multi-disciplinary team
To apply starvation physiology to individuals with restrictive eating disorders
To undertake a dietetic assessment for individuals with eating disorders
To begin planning and implementing appropriate dietetic strategies for those with eating disorders
To explore the role of MEED (Medical Emergencies in Eating Disorders) across services
To gain an awareness of evidence-based psychological therapies within practice area
To implement practical tools and strategies to support dietary change when working with individuals with eating disorders
